Shape: Sphere
Duration:3 minutes
Was down on the beach at Surfside tonight. Been walking on this beach at night for 6 years now and never saw anything like this. I was walking north when just in front of me through the darkness, I saw a bright orange orb in front of me light up – and then leave the beach with a 30 degree trajectory. If I had to guess, it was no more than 200 yards away from me when it left the ground. It moved slow and silent, disappearing as a tiny dot far out over the ocean. It didn’t burn out, it just went too far to see. I thought it was a drone at first, but it never returned.

A minute later, another left the beach not far from me. When I got to where I thought they both originated, there was no one there. Except for myself, the beach was empty. Then I look forward, and a third left the beach only closer to me now – maybe 100 yards in front of me. When I got to where this one launched…nobody. All three disappeared in flickers, ascending over the ocean. Not bottle rockets or flairs. These orange lights were slow and steady.
