Looked like satellites moving across the sky but these were in formation

walking my dog at 06:00 in Lincoln on a cold clear morning when i saw up to 30 bright lights at high altitude, all seemed to be in formation appearing from the dark sky at 1 every 3 to 4 seconds.

They were travelling fromN/W to S/E.
