These sightings were about two ago when I was back home visiting my family. Me, my brother, and his two friends were in our garden facing south and gazing up at the stars. It was clear sky so a lot of stars were visible that night. While looking the stars I noticed one in particular had shot off. It had been static in the sky, shining as bright as the surrounding stars, but then with no acceleration at all, it just shot off.

At first I just thought my mind had been playing a trick on me. I decided to mention it to the others but felt sceptical at the same time, as I didn’t want to sound crazy. So the way I phrased it was “you know when you see something weird, but you don’t know if you really saw it or not”. Before I had the chance to explain what I saw, one of the others described what I saw exactly. This made me certain about what I saw and I spent all night trying to find a reasonable explanation.

The next night, I saw it again. Another star, static for a moment, but then shooting off in the same direction. However, this time none of the others witnessed it.I have attempted to find a scientific explanation for this, but I have found nothing.

I am really curious to know if others have seen this before, and would appreciate a reply explaining what this could have been, as no video on the Internet seems to replicate what I witnessed. I did stumble across one video that did seem close, however the light had a gradual acceleration.
