Single strand of about 25 silent objects flying in SW direction very close together .

While in my backyard with my dog in the early morning, I looked up to see the stars and saw a long strand of lights flying in line in a south-westerly direction. At first I thought perhaps they were aircraft but it was completely silent. All were single file and very close together.
