cigar shaped bright blue light shot across the sky and a trail followed

i was taking my brother to work on 107th ave heading north by 64th street,when we saw a cigar shaped blueish green thing shot across the sky it was a obvious thing it could of not been unnoticed it had a trail that followed it it was heading in a north east direction and dissapeared.
