Bright white light that did not flicker or fade

It was about 200 foot away and was a bright white light. It was night so there were no cars so i should of heared a sound if there was one. There was no sound. It was floating in mid air behind a house across the street. Then it started to slowly go lower and lower untill i could not see it. WHile this was happening my Tv lost the channel signal and there was just interfearance. When the thing went behond the house I got the signal back.
