Witnessed two bright lights that moved quickly then disappeared only to reappear in the sky approximately 1/4 mile distant at 500 feet.

Two large bright lights about 500 - 1000 feet high moving first North toward me, then moved west and disappeared only to re appear directly in front of me for a short time coming directly toward me. There was no sound. The two lights were bright and large in a pair about 50 feet apart.
