Gigantic flying "L" triangle floating slowly across Hwy. 80 in Eastern Nevada , chased by jets.

Observed a gigantic black triangle above my car as I drove East on Hwy. 80 toward the Utah border.

At about 15 miles west of Wendover, Utah, it was getting dark but I could see a black triangular ship slowly come across my windshield view from behind. There was no sound, and the object had very large, orange-colored, circular lights which had a "glow" instead of a firey appearance. The ship was so huge it filled up my windshield as I craned my neck to watch. It moved slowly, gliding and bouncing slightly at times as though floating. As it continued on past me, I saw that it was flying in the shape of a backwards "L" with five lights as described above, ie. three lights to the right, and two going straight up. It was about 2000-3000 feet in altitude. It sped up very fast after passing me, and I could see six F-14's that were starting to chase it. They looked like flies compared to the size of the craft. The whole ensemble continued straight ahead over Hwy.

80 toward Utah until out of my sight at the horizon. I estimate the size of the craft at one and a half miles wide.
