Small UFO sighting in Missouri with red and blue blinking lights similar to an emergency vehicle.

While me and my mother inlaw, who's a nurse, were smoking a cigarette outside her house when I pointed out tiny red and blue blinking lights in the sky. They appeared to be too high to be a helicopter and the movement was too irregular to be an airplane. The object just hung around the same spot only making slight movements. The strange lights looked similar to police lights because of the similar blinking colored lights.
