Characteristics: Lights on object, Left a trail

It is about 11.00 at night and I saw two objects and one is on far south side about 40 degree angle. Another one is small but right on top of my house about 80 degree The object are like a fly in the sky move irregularly up and down, left and right. It just move around at the same area. It had red flashing light on and off It is too far to take a picture and can't tell the shape.
