On the evening of 6/6/11, while relaxing on my deck around 10:15 pm and doing a little satellite watching, I noticed what appeared to be a plane's headlight beam pushing through a cloud due south about 30 degrees off the horizon. The only problem was that the sky was clear and very transparent so what appeared to be a headlight was actually an object reflecting light from a local ballfield and a nearby factory.

It was very hard to tell how high up it was but as it approached it stayed straight on course never swaying in either direction and very smooth. It appeared to be a flat wing or bar type object with no nose or tail like a plane just the wing part.

It was brown in color almost like a weathered telephone pole, totally noiseless with no lights. It appeared to be about 20 to 30 ft in length (way to big for a bird) but again it was difficult to judge its height.

I bolted off my chair only to watch it pass overhead then suddenly it right angled a perfect 4!5 degrees then turned to the right and leveled out.

I thought it would double back but it must have headed dead east as I lost it behind a large tree.

Total viewing time was about 6 to 8 seconds.

I can't stress how smooth and silent this thing was! Almost like it was in a stealth mode not wanting to be seen, but I did see it!

I have been an amateur astronomer for about 17 yrs so I normally don't consider UFO's as credible evidence as visitors from another world......untill now!
