orange fireball objects in sky in new jersey

Driving on garden state parkway we noticed 3 orange fireball like objects in sky. There were approximately 20 vehicles pulled over taking video and pictures. The objects picked up speed and sporadic movement. They climbed elevation quickly. No sounds or other aircraft visible. The sky is clear and about 50 degrees farenheit.
