Red-Orange Silent Bright Light near Hammond La

I was sitting outside talking with someone when they pointed off in the sky. I turn around and see a bright reddish-orange ball of light moving at what appeared to be a high rate of speed.

No sounds at all from the object as it moved in a linear path from Northeast to Southwest. The light was not uniform. It seemed to pulse, or flicker randomly. There weren't any strobes, or the standard red and green lights that are on most aircraft.

As it moved off to the southwest, it seemed to "bounce" to the left and right. Again, no sounds at all.

As my father and i sat there in astonishment, talking about what we had just seen. It (or possibly a second craft/light) appeared again! It followed a similar flight pattern, though more to the west. Moved southwest, but broke to the west sooner, and appeared to be moving at a much higher rate of speed. Again, no sounds at all, but it did appear to be "redder".

I'd like to know what i saw!
