|In the south skies above Salt Lake City, a firey light traveled slowly, then ascended from earth.
In the south sky, I saw a strange glowing light. It was clearly not a star or planet, as it was about 3 or 4 times larger and brighter even than Venus in the west sky (which is blazing right now). Also, it had a different glow to it, almost like it was oscillating differently or something. Something stood out about it, and I almost crashed as I pulled into the grocery store parking lot.
I got out of my car and my eyes were glued to it. I didn't care that people were walking around me, probably thinking I was a mad man. I just watched it. I found a star near it as a point of reference and in about 2 minutes it traveled around an inch in the northern direction, after which I noticed it fading. The oscillation was also changing and it's vibration was reducing as well, so it wasn't like it was just turning a light off, it was getting farther away. At first I was just amazed, like how could this be happening? It got smaller, then exponentially like it was traveling away from earth until it was too far away to see.
I'm just amazed. Is there any logical explanation for this? Something explainable? There were no clouds in the sky, and if it had have been atmospheric, the dim star I used as a point of reference would have also faded, and eventually the bright light would have come back, but that was not the case.
In the past I've gotten really excited, my heart has started pounding when I saw something I thought was a space ship of some type, and then I see that it's a plane or a helicopter or a wedding party has released lanterns or something, and I feel embarrassed. This time I just kept my composure and it blew my mind.
I've never been so sure that what I saw was the real deal. Is there any way to check if others saw the same thing as me?
