Triangular convoy of ships crossing the sky over Anna Maria Island during thunder storm

I was walking my dogs approximately 9pm on April 5th, 2012. I noticed lightening out over Sarasota Bay to my south, so I was watching the sky and noticed some strange lights to the north, moving too slow to be a plane. So, I took my dogs down a street that had a clear view of the sky and saw at least 4 triangle shaped ships crossing the sky. They appeared to be maybe 3-5 miles away, over the north end of Anna Maria Island and they were moving west to east, as though they had just come in from over the Gulf of Mexico. They were moving in concert with one another, obviously following each other. They were very large, wider than the clouds and they appeared to be traveling “upright” because I could see the triangle shape clearly as through it were facing me, rather than having the flat side facing toward the ground. Each one had very bright red lights on each corner of the triangle that were steady and fainter white ones directly beside that flashed on a steady! rhythm, blinking on and off every couple seconds. They were moving in and out of cloud cover, but I was able to observe them until they crossed out of sight. I would estimate that I had a clear sky view spanning probably 8-10 miles wide. It took the 4 that I saw at least ten minutes to pass out of my line of sight completely. I took a video with my cell phone of the last one, which is very shaky and hard to decipher because I was also trying to hold my dog's leashes in the other hand and they were running and pulling on me. It is my opinion that these ships were far too large to be any airplane or helicopter that I know of, and moving too slow and smoothly with too much precision. They appeared to be gliding, and made no sound that I could hear.
