White light seen over Chicago, Seen by A Federal Officer

At approximately 3:45 AM Chicago time, I was outside with my son unloading our vehicle. The overhead light in the car flickered on and off.

When I looked outside i say what appeared to be a Experimental aircraft or shooting star, there was no lights, (red/blue/green) that is usually seen from aircraft.

The object moved from west to east, towards chicago and over lake michigan. It was bright light that seemed like it was fading in & out.
