white dots flying in V formation

While coming out of Home Depot looked up at the sky and saw about 15 to 20 sort of dots going up and down yet maintaining a V formation disappearing in the sky and re-apearing thought it might have been birds but the shapes were round and moved at an outstanding speed tried to record with my cell phone but it disapeared into the cloud, waited 15 minutes for it to re-apear but did not see it again, it was amazing.
