Light in sky north of Louisville

I walked outside to have a cigarette and was watching fireworks while doing so. A plane flew by in what is a common landing path for the Louisville airport, which I noticed. I looked up again and saw a light with a large halo around it behind and beneath the plane. At first I thought it was just another firework and didn’t pay it much notice, but it didn’t explode and moved horizontally in a similar path as the plane. I next thought that it was odd and noticed that the halo was shrinking but it was still bright. I started recording the light as it moved across the sky with my phone, buy by the time I started the halo that was around the center mass had shrunk considerably about 3 times from the original size. I continued recording until the light was no longer visible because of trees obscuring the view. From where I was standing and started recording to where I could no longer see the light covered a conservative 30 degree span of the sky.
