Blinking Red to White Light making a circle pattern for hours

I was looking from my window when I noticed an Object that wasn't similar to a Plane or Helicopter.

I am a half mile from the Whitestone bridge and a couple of blocks from the Long Island sound. The object has been following the same course right in that area.

Somewhere between the Throgs Neck area in the Bronx and the Whitestone Bridge over the Long Island sound.

The object is blinking from Red to White,it is flying a distinct pattern in either a circle or a pyramid pattern.

It has been doing this over and over for an hour, I can't hear any sound and it's definitely not a helicopter.

I live in the flight path of New York's major airports and watch hundreds of planes fly over every day.

If anybody else has seen this, either from the Queens side of the Long Island Sound or the Bronx side please tell me if you know what it is.

I've taken a series of videos and pictures with my HTC one phone.
