Huge light cluster (possible ufos)

Driving down the road, saw about 12-18 white/red lights forming in a zig-zag formation. All clustered together. When the white lights went away the red lights replaced them.

The lights stayed in the sky for about 5 minutes.

Following them in the sky was what looked like a helicopter/plane with its search light on pointing right at them.

We got out of the car and ran to see if we could still see them there were only about 4 left then they completely disappeared.

The helicopter/plane with its search light on was the only thing left in the sky.
