Not a clear object, but a very clear light, 3 blinks and movement.

I was walking down Major Ave (In the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood of Chicago), I was almost at Major & Belden.. when...

A clear white light caught my attention. I look up to the sky and I see a white light. It shuts off and appears again farther off but still very clear and looked to be the exact same size. It blinks again, this time it doesn't reappear, it's gone. The light was oval shaped.. not a perfect oval but oval is the closest shape to it.

Everything was calm/felt calm.. not even a breeze or a sound. I felt very calm (this is unusual for me, especially when walking alone a dark neighborhood at night). I was in awe, don't know why.

I stood there walking slowly looking at the sky for any other clue of what that was.. but nothing happened, no clue. I start walking home in about 5 minutes I see a helicopter (I'm pretty sure it was a helicopter because of the noise it made.. anyway helicopter or some other plane). I see it coming from the west side. I just go home. This is pretty much it.
