extremely fast red/orange orb of light

Small red light appeared in the western sky as I was parked. It was traveling faster and lower then a jet and slowly turned orange as it flew south then was so far away its light could no longer be seen.it less then a minute it flew from Moore Oklahoma to Norman and was gone. I've studied aerospace engineering and to my knowledge we have no aircraft of that capabilities.
