Flashing light from object moving in the sky

Strange object that I thought at first was a plane in the sky east of Auburn. Flashed light like it was turning and catching the reflection of the sun. Too small to be a plane but seems to be at a planes altitude.

It traveled south for awhile and then stopped and hovered. Tried to figure out if it was a helicopter or maybe a remote controlled toy by its movements. Seriously too high in the sky to be either.
