Bright star, that leaves the sky with high speed capabilities.

While playing basketball with a couple friends, I noticed an extremely bright star in the sky, at about 30 minutes before dark.

I started staring at it because it seemed out of place, but, before I could get my friends to turn around, it shot off into space at an extremely high rate of speed. (not of this world)
