Reddish-orange light seen in Northwest Albuquerque disappears before hitting treeline

Reddish-orange light appeared to be decending in the northern sky. The object was seen from Ventana Village Rd and Rainbow Blvd in the Ventana Ranch area of Northern Albuquerque. Only one object was seen.

Another aircraft was in the same vicinity as the object, emitting a red and blue flashing light as a normal plane would. This aircraft was clearly a plane.

After about 10 seconds of watching the unknown object, the light began to appear more faint.

The light from the object appeared to vanish before hitting the treeline.

We drove our vehicle to Irving Blvd where we had a clear view of the sky to the north, but the object was gone.

We could still see the same aircraft that was near the unknown object further out in the sky, but not the unknown object.
