Bright orange object with tail like appearance hovered and sped up across sky turned 90 degrees.

Bright Orange object with tail came shooting across sky then abruptly stopped, hovered, dropped altitude. Slowed down, then sped up and went behind trees, ascended and again abruptly turned 90 degrees and shot off into the sky and disappeared.
