This is a report I submitted awhile back as a ghost story but realized that maybe it could be considered alien, not "ghost", and thought to submit. Thank you for your review.

I lived in Monsey a few years ago while doing religious Jewish studies. In religious practice, some men go to a ritualistic bath everyday called a Mikva. The Mikva is considered to wash away some degree of spiritual uncleanliness which has affected the body as well. Women do this also after menstruation. Men typically go in the morning, during the day. Anyway, one day, I had missed going in the morning and decided to go late at night about 11:30pm after bowling with a friend. It was the summer so my friend sat outside the house with his windows down. While waiting he kept his car running with the headlights on, which were bright up against the side of the house 1 foot in front of his car. I went inside the house, which was a religious high school with a Mikva in a section of the building. I couldn't find the light switch in the dark, so I propped the door open. After dunking in the Mikva water, I was standing at the shower to rinse off. I was warming the water up with my he! ad looking sideways. In the passage of light which spread through the small room from the hallway outside the propped door, I saw a person walk by me very quickly. His body was covered in light. From my side view, not the "corner of my eye" it was obviously a person. I assumed it was my friend coming in. I started talking to him. When there was no response, I looked in the corner of the room where the figure walked into a few feet from me. There was no one there. I felt terrified being 100% certain someone walked next to me and who I saw as what I would call a body of light. I threw on my jeans, grabbed my underwear, shoes and other belongings and ran outside nearly naked. When I got to our car the windows were closed, the headlights were off, and doors were locked. I banged on the door to open up quickly. When I got in my friend was equally frightened and nearly hysterical. We kept cutting each other off trying to explain what happened. He related that whil! e he was sitting in the car, windows down, headlights bright against the wall of the house, that right in front of the car he saw a person, a body of light, run in front of the headlights. It sounded identical to what I saw inside. He was so frightened he closed the windows and locked the doors. We kept telling over the details and drove home all shaken up. When we got back we told friends but they sort of chuckled. It was impossible to tell anyone with any degree of seriousness. When I bring it up today with my friend who experienced this with me he also chuckles and says, " yeah that was freaky" when I bring it up. Not much to say, and in fact it's awkward to talk about.

I have always felt crazy telling anyone, but it was unforgettable and real.
