I was getting ready for school and I had to wear a tie that day, so I went into my parents’ room to borrow one from my father's selection. I looked out of the window of their room, which was located at the back of the house, and I saw a cylindrical object flying over the farmer's pasture where his cows grazed, probably 100 yards from our backyard.

It was a dark gray object, but translucent, maybe about 50-ft. long with some type of markings on the side. It looked like a mini-blimp. I did not see windows or lights. It was flying at treetop level, with the nose slightly elevated, and the cylinder was not making a sound. It flew behind the next-door neighbor’s yard and turned slightly then disappeared over the crest of a hill.
