I saw a saucer shaped craft after a middle school dance

Sometime in the winter of 2005, when I was in 8th grade, there was a school dance. After the dances, our parents would drive us to a nearby shopping center where there was an ice cream place and a few restaurants. On this particular night, I was in a friend's car and as we went down a hill near the shopping center, I saw a saucer shaped craft in the sky over a walgreens. It was just a glimpse, but as soon as we parked I hopped out to get a better view.

Here is my description of the craft: The craft was saucer shaped, tilted towards me. It was your classic saucer shape, with a bit of a bulge on the top part. The surface was entirely smooth. I could tell the craft was rotating because of the way light was either emitting from it or reflecting off it. The light was the sort of yellow-white the moon gets on a cloudy night.

This night was lightly cloudy, and at one point the craft seemed to be going behind a cloud, but the light was actually just fading. It faded back in a little later. It would do this a few times. It also would sometimes move slightly. Very slowly and deliberately.

After a few hours, I had to go home, and by then the craft was gone.

There were dozens of middle schoolers, parents, and families at the plaza, many of whom witnessed the saucer. One very strange thing was that the parents I spoke to about it seemed to want nothing to do with it. Like they wanted to ignore it, forget it ever happened.

I’ve talked with my friend recently about the sighting. I will try to get him to submit a report.
