Bright light traveling overhead, flashed and lit up brighter for several seconds before fading and disappearing completely

While watching for persied meteor shower I witnessed several planes blinking throughout the sky, but one moving light in particular caught my attention and once I looked at it it got extremely bright and stayed bright for several seconds before slowly fading and disappearing completely.
