Intense white light coming through our bedroom skylight

Was sound asleep, this was approximately 2am. We have a 6 foot wide white-translucent skylight in the middle of the bedroom. Suddenly I was woken up the this intense light shining into the skylight. I woke up my wife and she noticed the light but didn’t really care to ask about it. I too was very tired and just went back to sleep. The next morning I actually thought this was a dream until this afternoon I asked my wife about it and she immediately said she remembers that and wondered what it was.

We never heard any noises, didn’t feel any vibrations or any anything else. I did not investigate by walking out to see as I was very sleepy and tired and immediately went back to sleep.
