It crossed the highway, about 500 ft in front of us. Light bluish white, oblong craft. NOT plane or copter. Was heading NW?

It wasn't moving real fast, almost at the speed of a small plane about to land. But it was a white light blue that was glowing softly. The whole thing glowed. It was about 20-25 feet, and oblong shaped. I picked it up as it cleared the trees on my right, and it crossed the highway, then disappeared behind the trees on my left. I would estimate it was 100 feet up and approximately 500 to 600 feet in front of us. I've never seen anything like it before. My husband and I never mentioned it to anyone. Just FYI for your records.
