I did not see the craft but I live on the 15th floor and very bright lights shown in my window with an unusual sound a mechanical noise

I was awake when all the sudden I heard a very mechanical noise and then green and blue bright lights shown into my window. I live in the 15th floor and there are no tall buildings near me and it didn’t sound like a helicopter or anything like that. The moment I grabbed my glasses so that I could look outside and see what was going on the sound and the lights turned off. My assumption is that it was a UFO although I could not see it other than the lights and hear the sound seven times, three long and four quicker.
