Strange light

We were sledging into a bowl shaped ditch around 1.5 meter in depth and at a guess around 20,25 meters across, the sky was all orange from the street lights with low cloud cover it had been snowing after around an hour or so we were on the south side of the ditch and the whole circumference of the ditch lit up as if there was a torch light a faint blue colour above us there was no sound and none of us looked up I remember seeing the shadow of my hand been crystal clear on the snow it lasted for all of a one or two second we all ran to the estate where there was a number of shop's in the center of the estate there was a off licence and some one left there dog tied to a lamppost outside the dog seemed agitated standing on its back leg's for the last 39 years I have never spoke to any one about this but what I think is rather strange is that my self and my two friend have never spoke to each other about that night and what we seen.
