Large silent & stationary vehicle sighted just after dusk 3-5 feet above tree. Bright white lights would illuminate little squares.

I know what I saw 27 years ago like it was yesterday. I walked through my grandparents carport garage and looked to the right before entering their porch at dusk. 35 yards to the right, hovering 3-5 feet above a tree was a silent disk shaped vehicle that had bright white square lights that would illuminate in a circular motion while hovering completely silently over this tree to the east side of my grandparents house. Estimated site of the craft was the radius of the tree top (12 FT x 3 FT). The color of the the vehicle was a dark metal/gray color at dusk.

It could have been there for 2-8 minutes. I watched it hover for about 20 seconds and then ran inside out of fear of the unknown. I didn't share this with anyone for about 25 years but remember it like it was yesterday. I even remember what I was wearing. All I can say is that the vehicle I saw in 1996 was not of this world and have never seen anything like it.
