Triangle craft with 3 lights, no sound and flying low.

This happened in 1996. Witnessed by myself and best friend. We were both 16 and in high school.

My grandma dropped me off at my friends house around 8:30pm. My friend’s house was out of town a little bit. There was a fence around her house and the gate was locked so my grandma dropped me at the gate and my friend met me outside by the gate. My grandma left.

I was about to climb over the gate when I noticed my friend looking up. I can’t remember if she said anything to me or not. But I looked up to see what she was looking at.

When I looked up that’s when I saw it. First I saw the lights. There were 3 white lights in the form of a triangle. It was almost overhead of us. As it got overhead it looked like the lights were attached to a triangle shaped craft with the lights in each corner. The triangle was really dark except for the 3 lights. The lights were not blinking. There was no blinking lights at all, which was odd.

It was large maybe as big as two buses in length and it was flying really low to the ground, maybe around 200ft above the ground. As it was flying over us it was going really really slow. Another odd thing to me was there was no sounds at all coming from it.

So me and my friend watched as it slowly passed over our heads. We followed it as it passed over and once it was over our heads it was just gone. I don’t know if it just went fast or just disappeared. My friend was scared and confused. I was not scared but intrigued and confused.

After it was over she wanted me to hurry and get over the gate so we could go in to her house. As I was getting over the gate we realized her house phone was ringing and her dad was upset because he had been calling. For some reason we didn’t hear the phone until the triangle was gone. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or maybe we’re just so focused on what we were seeing.

We didn’t tell anyone or really talk about it too much. I really wasn't sure who to tell or report to. And at the time I felt like people probably wouldn’t believe us anyway. I’ve always thought about this experience though and wondered what it could be. I’m still wondering to this day. I’ll never forget seeing it. It was the most unusual thing I’ve ever seen.

I thought about reporting before but never did. Every so often I’ll try to research into more sightings to try and understand what I saw. I came upon this site when I was looking into other occurrences of people seeing triangle craft.

I don’t know if we have military crafts that look like this or not. To me it just didn’t seem like anything I’d ever seen or heard of. No blinking lights, no sounds and flying extremely low and slow then just disappeared, is there anything that can do this that would explain it? I haven’t found any definite answers yet.

I’m 43 now. I have worked mostly in retail. I’m a scientific person and look for rational explanations to things in life. But I’m open to the possibility that we may not know everything.
