A rectangular craft hovered silently never moving for about 10 minutes with some sort of occupant

I was 7 years old at the time. It was around 7:00 p.m. at night. I walked down to the beach after dinner. What used to be an old basketball court which has now been taken down, this craft hovered silently at one corner of the court. I stood there and watched it for maybe 30 seconds or a minute it was so long ago.
A small white face almost porcelain looking appeared out of the blackness of the open side of the rectangle. At first I remember being scared and backed up but was that eased within seconds This face seemed to play hide and seek with me between the open and close side of the rectangle. The black or open side of the rectangle reflected no light, it was so black I've never seen anything like it to this day. Whatever this was that was staring back at me seem to be playful. I had a very strange feeling of sadness and that we needed to do better on how we treated each other and the place we lived. As a child I didn't understand I believe I do now. My background is science I don't subscribe to a lot of UFO UAP websites or anything like that. It's kind of funny knowing what I know and I guess the best word is experience a meeting this entity creature I don't know what to call it. I felt it meant no harm but I did feel a strange sadness from it. After about 10 minutes or so the rectangle took off straight up, no sound no wind, no noise, no nothing. It just left at a speed I've never seen before even to this day.

With everything that I've been taught and I've understood to be our reality this object and this entity did not prescribe to any of it.

I will say This is been a strange life knowing that for some reason my government must know something or it is totally incapable of understanding the technology behind any of this. This is magic.
