It was not a cone shape per se but it was thin, wide and huge.

Its taken me over 35 years to write this. It was a new housing development with only one house built surrounded by trees. A family was outside in the summer and it came down hovering over trees with running lights around lt and it was completely silent. Everyone started screaming but then everyone got so scared and silent. We watched a smaller one come out of the larger one and they hovered then the little one went back inside the big one and it took off in less than one sec and disappeared. This has stayed with me my entire life. I was a teenager and I am now 64. I remember how silent it was and how there was no exhaust or smoke. How ir disappeared in a flash. There were many calls that night to the police because many people saw it. I am not sure of the month but I know it was summer. Truly something one would have to see to believe and no one believes you anyway so you just keep it to yourself. I was with with my mother who is now 93 and I video taped her telling the story so when she passes on I have I documented. I have maybe told 5 people in my life.
