Silver orb hovering over marching band field

I was on the field doing marching band practice and I noticed a silver orb bout 500 to 1000 feet above me just hovering it stayed there for a really long time and I kept wondering why nobody else could see it. I never said anything, and nobody seemed to notice it and I don’t know why. The sky was clear blue with no clouds and I kept wondering why it just stayed there. It made no noise and had no lights it was shiny and round with no windows. It felt like it was watching me and I wasn’t scared, but that just felt like a crazy thought. As we continued practice I kept wondering why it had not moved from its position, and a long time later before we were done with practice, it suddenly just took off at an extremely high rate of speed and was out of sight. It did not leave a trail.
