Orb/ star traveling super fast in odd formation

I was out with my dog, sitting down and looking up as I usually do when I was outside at that time. I saw a orb, like a star, traveling in a horizontal line across the sky, suddenly it changed direction in a wery abrupt motion to a diagonally downward motion back again, then after a few seconds it just dropped like 90 degrees down and disappeared behind the horizon. That’s all I saw and I’ve never told anyone about it.
