A cigar or cylinder was observed moving across sky directly overhead for about 60 secs than vanished and was not relocated.

On the night of 14th February 1966, a friend and I were hitch hiking outside Mildura and we were settling down for the night in our sleeping bags. I saw a cigar shaped object slowly moving across sky. I told my friend to have a look as I described it , at first he thought I was pranking and wouldn't look but I insisted and he also saw the object but within seconds it vanished from the night sky.
