it was silver metalic shiny and wa a cylender with light across and up it

i saw a cylender type object in the sky and it made a very eird sound it made a humming sound and it look as if was just 600 ft of us. it started looking like it was just a normal airplane then it got closer and all of sudden just stoped and then started going again the stopped again then took off realy fast and thats the last we saw of it.
