orange color, appeared about the sizeof a tennis ball, moved vertically until barely visible, then moved at a high speed westward

There was no sound. I noticed a bright orange ball to the north of my location on the beach. It seemed to hover for a few seconds after I noticed it.

Then it started to move vertically.

I pointed it out to a young lady who also saw it and we watched it go almost out of sight and then turn west and move rapidly out of sight over the Gulf of Mexico.
