Unexplained spherical object.

Sighting began as a spherical object moving N/NW outside of known flight paths, object was flying low, brightly lit with a circumnavigating red light through the center, there was no sound observed, object followed a straight bearing for approx. 2 minutes then stopped, gained several hundred feet in altitude (Assumed amount of altitude gain, was +/- 10 vertical degrees at an unknown distance) object quickly changed colors from white to red, red to blue, blue back to white.

Observed object for 27 minutes before it appeared to descend out of visual range, during the duration of observation no audible sounds came from the object.
