A woman and her daughter witnessed a very bright light, "like a star." Suddenly, a "red thing" flew at it, and exploded into many sparks or fragments, "like a (shattered) mirror." The whole thing turned into red and white lights. The mother put the daughter to bed at about 8:00 p.m.. When she looked out the bedroom window, she suddenly noticed a bright star in the night sky, one she had never noticed before. Then she notices a "red oval light moving toward the horizon," which suddenly exploded into many glittering pieces. It was nothing like an aircraft.
