Summary : Bright blue-green ball. From North East travelling towards south west. Almost directly overhead. Duration less than 2 seconds, about 15 degrees distance.

Observer is an amatuer astronomy buff with particular fascination with meteor showers. Would readily classify object as "fire ball" meteor. Waiting city of St. Charles fireworks display, hunderds of people present. Time is approximate within 10 minutes. Estimated movement by extended fist, trail was just slightly longer. Was on the other side of clouds making it to high for fireworks. Were observing from well lit public park.
