object in sky sped up and slowed down and was very bright

i was sitting on my friends trampoline and we were looking at the stars through a telescope and my friend noticed a bright circle object going around in a circle numerous times i thought nothing of it because my friends dad whos is very smart said it was probably a satelite. so we went on doing our business when we saw it again it was brighter than before so i loooked at it through the telescope and it looked like a giant star except bright white and it kept on getting brighter and then it slowed down and sped up very quickly and then vanished. i have seen this many times since then.
