flying saucer sighted near coast in flight

I was flying from St.Thomas, VI to Atlanta, Ga. Shortly before reaching the coast a round craft of about 30 feet in diameter with a little dome on top crossed the path of our jet flying about 2000 feet lower and about 1000 feet in front of the plane. The craft was moving exceedingly fast from left to right. It had a light brown color.
