Bright greenish/blue ball flying diagonally across sky

As I was sitting on my couch, I saw a bright greenish/blue ball rush diagonally through the sky, from north to south. I ran outside to see if this was some kind of comet or something, as I am not prone to believe in UFO sightings. I could not imagine what else it could be. It happened extremely fast.
