Bright object wavering and moving quite fast in the early morning sky

It was early in the morning at around 5 am, me and my two friends had woken up early to watch the sunset. We were at Saltspring Island looking out over the water towards the sunrise. The sun hadn't risend yet but it was pretty light out. I noticed and light in the sky by some trees. It was definetley not moving like a plane or anything that i've ever seen. It wasn't moving in a straight line like planes or helicopters do, it was wavering and bumbling along slightly and flying quite fast. I turned to me friend and asked her if that could be a plane and she said that it was moving way to fast to be a plane. I was just about to take a picture when it dissapeared behind some tree tops. Saltsping isn't a very populated island and I doubt that any planes or aircrafts would be flying about at that time.
